About Lindwood Manufacturing Plant
Lindwood has built a reputation as a well-known brand in the production of edge-glued panels, plywood and furniture components. Before you will explore the current position of Lindwood and its comprehensive lumber and edge glued wood manufacturing processes, we
want you to study about the history of our manufacturing plant.
The current manufacturing facilities in Aruküla (close to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia) were initially used for furniture production since early 1960s, where state-owned soviet enteprise called "Kooperaator" produced plywood furniture (mainly chairs and their components).
In 1997 the manufacturing facilities in Aruküla were bought by Bodilsen Holding and Silvester PLC (Silvester AS as public limited company) and the joint-stock company launched the production of birch furniture components.
Just a year after, in 1998, the danish owned Bodilsen Holding aquired 100% of the shares of Lignar and the corporate business name was changed to PLC Bodilsen Estonia. The main task for Bodilsen Estonia
was to supply its mother company with edge glued wooden panels, finger joint boards and other furniture components from birch, pine and beech.
In June 2008, the company was aquired by PLC Linford (AS Linford as public limited company) and the corporate name was changed to Lindwood LTD (Lindwood OÜ as private limited company).
Since then the company has continued manufacturing edge glued wood panels, finger joint boards and furniture components primarily for export.
The wood species that we currently feature include birch, pine and oak. Please contact our customer service to discover the particular features of each of them, in order to find out the best suibable for you.
